Danaher Power Solutions has HEART
The Danaher Power Solutions Team demonstrated their desire to be healthy and to have fun in October by participating in the 2006 Heart Walk in Richmond, with about 12,000 other walkers. With the support of Danaher Power Solutions and the community, the American Heart Association reached its donation goal of $850,000 which will help fund lifesaving research and education.
This unique campaign blends the benefits of physical activity, community involvement and personal giving to fight the nation’s number one and number three killers – cardiovascular diseases and stroke. With the help of our team and community, Danaher Power Solutions raised over $6,500 in support of this notable cause.
The American Heart Association is the largest voluntary health organization working to prevent, treat and defeat heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases. These diseases devastate millions of people of all ages and kill more than 930,000 Americans each year. To fight them the association supports research, education and advocacy, and helps heart disease and stroke patients. Over 22.5 million association volunteers and supporters are at work in their communities helping their friends, neighbors and loved ones live longer, better lives.
Team Leader and VP of Human Resources, Jolene Polaritz states “I am proud to be part of a team who is dedicated to this cause and can come out and show their support! Next year, our goal is to expand our community presence and double our fundraising efforts.”
