JOIN US FOR OUR PRODUCT INFORMATION SESSION: Challenges in Applying the New Higher Voltage (415/240V) Power Distribution in the Data Center

Presented by Richard Draper, Product Manager, Thomas & Betts Power Solutions

This presentation explores new caveats that go along with using higher voltages for power distribution. These include higher fault currents, diminished breaker interrupting ratings, operation/maintenance safety concerns and long four wire feeders. Doing away with transformers solves many old problems but ushers in a host of new challenges and solutions that are the substance of this presentation. Current limiting breakers, line reactors, zig-zag autotransformers, 4 pole static switches and fused switches are new topics for discussion in data center power distribution.
